Standards to be adopted

Hello there,

I understand that the fields in the invoice are to be developed based on the Invoice schema available https://einvoice.firs.gov.ng/docs/system-integrator/invoice-schema. However, in general we have to adopt the UBL 2.1 schema based on standards.

Could anyone please confirm the way to approach. If we can just go with the Invoice schema available online or should we adopt the whole UBL 2.1 Schema

Dear Jay,

Kindly proceed with the invoice schema as specified by FIRS. While the schema is based on the Universal Business Language (UBL) standard, FIRS has introduced a few additional fields to address Nigeria's requirements, for example, the Invoice Reference Number (IRN).
