Registration requirement for a Foreign Service Provider

Hey all,

As a Foreign Service Provider who is a Peppol Certified SP, we are looking to register on Nigeria's e-Invoicing platform, I’m seeking clarification on the documentation required for the registration process.

What specific documents are needed to complete the registration successfully?

Kindly note that the registration process for Service Providers on Nigeria's e-lnvoicing platform consists of two phases:

- Phase 1: Pre-registration with FIRS

The link you shared is for pre-registration with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). During this phase, FIRS conducts a preliminary evaluation of Service Providers to grant them access to the sandbox environment. This phase accommodates foreign companies, including those with Peppol certification, allowing them to test their integration and implementation.

- Phase 2: Registration with NITDA

Access to the production environment is upon certification of the Service Provider by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), which oversees technology regulations in Nigeria and serves as the country's designated Peppol Authority. NITDA requires compliance with its regulatory guidelines for electronic invoicing in Nigeria. Hi,

Inorder to start testing, we are now trying to get into https://einvoice.firs.gov.ng/serivce-providers/system-integrators/register

But even after selecting different country of origin, it says Invalid TIN and not allowing us to Register as a System integrator.

Can you help us on how to onboard to this portal as a foreign entity? we dont have TIN there in Nigeria

As explained earlier, Phase One accommodates foreign companies to test their integration and implementation.

To proceed, please revisit the link and select "No" in response to the first question: "Is your company registered in Nigeria?" Then, complete the remaining fields with the required information. Before submitting, ensure you check the box confirming you have read and agree to the terms outlined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA). Finally, click "Submit" to complete the process.
