Clarification on handling Fiscalisation on FIRS MBS

I want to get Clarifications on few misconceptions.

Our business has an existing ERP system internally we use for invoicing, which is designed to support us across Africa. As to this I presume we should just require the service of an APP. On the FIRS logon the MBS default APP is what we are connected to and we have the necessary credentials. We've started integration with these credentila to Validate Payload, Create a QR Code and Sign Invoice, all of these have successfully integrated.
Now the transmission seems to be an issue as we keep getting the error below

And we get this particular error when we try to hit certain endpoints too like
a. SearchEntitty Endpoint
b. GetEntity Endpoint
c. LookupWithIRN
d. Transmit endpoint e.t.c...

Are we getting a flow wrong here as to the transmission, or we are not fully registered ?

Please also note that our ERP system has been used to support Fiscalisation with African Countries that have automated their Tax Payment system, and it's been effective

You are not doing anything wrong.

There is a limitation with the MBS default. Transmission can only be done through an accredited Access Point Provider (APP). Therefore, even if you are currently on the default APP, you will not be able to transmit invoices. kindly connect with one of our accredited Service Providers to proceed with transmission.

Please note that the MBS default only allows taxpayers to perform the following actions:

Receive invoices transmitted to them by the seller on their FIRSMBS portal.
Automatically confirm receipt of all invoices sent by the seller.
Download invoices using the designated download endpoint as a buyer.
Update payment status for received invoices as a seller.

(Coming soon – subject to management approval): Ability for taxpayers (seller) to report (for fiscalization) paid transactions using the report endpoint while on MBS Default

Hi @SysAdmin ,

Understood that the transmission can happen only via accredited APPs. However, the current list of accredited service providers mentioned at https://mbs.gov.ng/service-providers-directory are all System Integrators. This would mean that there are currently No APPs accredited in Production. As per FAQ, it was mentioned that only accredited APPs can transmit. So does that mean currently transmission cannot happen at all since its not allowed via default MBS and there are no approved APPs in production yet.

Kindly note that under the National e-Invoicing Guideline, there are two regulatory layers of approval for Service Providers:

Provisional Approval
Full Accreditation

The provisional approval category includes both System Integrators (SIs) and Access Point Providers (APPs) that have undergone preliminary technical and operational evaluation and are permitted to operate within the ecosystem during this transition phase.

The reason only SIs currently appear on the fully accredited list is because the APP application and accreditation track is still being fine-tuned by NITDA in line with regulatory alignment. This development does not invalidate or suspend the operations of APPs that already hold provisional approval.

Therefore, invoice transmission in production remains active through provisionally approved APPs, and operations are fully in line with the interim regulatory framework pending the publication of the APP-accredited list by NITDA.
