Dear Atibeservicesltd,
To become a registered Service Provider on Nigeria's e-Invoicing platform, you must complete a two-phase registration process. Both phases are mandatory for official listing on the website.
- Phase 1: Pre-registration with FIRS
This is what you have completed. During this phase, FIRS conducts a preliminary evaluation of Service Providers' application before approval. This approval will to grant applicants access to the sandbox environment. This phase allows companies to test their integration and implementation and it is deemed completed upon successful demonstration of the Solution to the FIRS Team.
- Phase 2: Registration with NITDA
Access to the production environment is upon certification of the Service Provider by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), which oversees technology regulations in Nigeria and serves as the country's designated Peppol Authority. NITDA requires compliance with its regulatory guidelines for electronic invoicing in Nigeria. You can access detailed information on NITDA's requirements and processes using this link https://nitda.gov.ng/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/NATIONAL-REGULATORY-GUIDELINE-FOR-ELECTRONIC-INVOICING-IN-NIGERIA-2025.pdf
